As your constituent, I would like to respectfully urge you to support H.R. 1550, the PREVENT HPV Cancers Act of 2021. This important bipartisan legislation can help prevent HPV-associated cancers and save lives.

As you may know, there is a link between the Human Papillomavirus (HPV) and 6 different types of cancer: cervical, head & neck, anal, vaginal, vulvar, and penile cancer. According to the CDC, HPV causes over 35,000 such cancers each year.  The administration of the HPV vaccine is a safe and effective way to substantially reduce the risk of these cancers.

For that reason, I strongly support increasing awareness of this disease and efforts for immunization against it. The PREVENT HPV Cancers Act will provide the national public awareness needed to help Americans safeguard their health against HPV-associated cancers.

I hope that you will vote in support of this important bill as it moves through Congress.
